Then I thought, no - this is turning into another flame war, which is completely off-topic. And I don't believe you really care about what people were saying anyway, so what's the point in trying to discuss it with you?

However, in the off chance that you were serious, I've sent you a PM. For the record, I *never* said that your input was unwelcome. If you want to discuss this privately, I'm game.

And if you don't want to discuss it, that's fine too. Or if you want to discuss it publically, I have no problem starting a separate thread where I will present every bit of my case for all to see. After all, this is the court of public opinion and all. But this thread is not the place to do it.

On the other hand, if you want to go away again, I don't have a problem with that either...

No, please do go ahead because I want to see how you will change fact into fiction. You made certain statements about what I said in my PM that weren't true. I posted the complete text of what I wrote to you in the post above. I have record of both of the PMs I sent to you during tha exchange and nowhere in them did I result to profanity other than what was shown on the quote. In neither of them did I even mention what I thought of Pangolin. (For the record I have publicly stated many times that I assume Pangolin products to be of high quality. I just don't like their business model, and I stand behind that). Also, I hardly ever use vulgar language, on the internet or in real life. You might find a few cases but I am hardly the foul mouthed person you accused me of. Go ahead and find some quotes from me and show me differently.

Buffo, I said I would stop posting because I am breaking that because I am calling you out. Yes, I will agree with you and others that I am a sarcastic son-of-a-bitch. But, that has only been directed to maybe two people on here (Bill Brenner and James Lehman) and I have made peace with both of them. Anyone else either deserved it or read my tone wrong.

Buffo, unlike you, I don't sugar coat things and I don't make stuff up. I also don't have time to read every post and I miss things sometimes. I have a full time job, a wife, and two preschoolers to take car of. I also am spending a lot of time working on my software. And I am also active in other non-laser related events and hobbies. I don't have time or money to fly to FL or NC to hang with you guys or as you put it "I didn't bother to go to FLEM or SELEM".

So go ahead, dig around, find some dirt on me and post it to back up your claim. I'm sure it will be delightful.

I wouldn't suspect any of those folks to have done it. Daedal wouldn't do it and I can't see marconi or k-car flying under the radar hacking a bunch of files on a server just to spite everyone. Just wouldn't make sense, to me. And from the pic above, with the duplicate file names where the duplicate ends with a number. Kinda makes me think of someone having programmed some type of script. So my guess is that it would someone with some type of programming skills.

I didn't mean it that way... I meant that maybe one of them would have an idea as to who it could have been. I certainly don't suspect any of them. (Heck, Mo just got Pango'd himself at the last FLEM!)

The more I think about it, the more I think it would be bad to speculate blindly. Though I must admit that your message above about an "ex-pangolin" employee is thought-provoking...
