    Default South Pacific Flavour ..

    Hi guys,

Here are some shots from my show on Friday night.
This was an awards dinner and we used a Maori warrior..
He emerged from crouching into the dry ice and then up into the "tunnel".

No audience scanning at all.. lasers had physical (BAMS) barriers setup so beams could not go any where near audience even if there was a total loss of control.

Sound system was a JBL line array (12 wedges) with eight active subs.
It shook the building we used a modern Maori musical theme called the "Trumpet".. The Arena is about 80 meters long by 40 meters wide ..
Went off real well... crowd of about 700 went wild.. The city Mayor was ecstatic..

Note the view I got !!! (from behind)

Love the Pangolin network but not willing to trust it (or me) from the other end of the room yet... (like those power switches to be right there with me ... Paranoia ??..)

    Cheers

    Awesome!!

How are the speaker stand platforms for the projectors working out for you? That is pretty much the idea I had in mind for my setup...

And by the way, thanks again for calling in to FLEM to say hi to everyone. That was pretty cool! (Wish you could have been there, pal...)

Hey, thanks guys.. appreciate the feedback.

It was quite an exciting night it had that "hair on the back of the neck" feeling.

Not sure if you have ever seen one of our Maori warriors do their thing but it sure can be awesome.
Its no wonder the Maori Battalion was so feared during WW2... you'd fair poop your pants before the battle even started. Yeah in the old days they used to cut off yor head and eat parts of you as well but that hasn't happened for a few months now

Randy.. the speaker stands work well. However I would suggest making it either a folding hinge door system that you can adjust up. OR better (but more work, make it so you could go up or down by say 30 degrees or so.
I have had to pack the front of mine several times now so this is on my list to do.... (you know "the list by Xmas just which one).
Also make sure you get stands with the crank handles the friction ones work OK but you do have to hold the weight during setting. I had both here and the crank is way better.

Re video... believe it or not there was a video camera being used to send it to the side screens but the dickhead didn't put a tape in it... why ?? ... well of course.. 'cause no one told him to...... don't ya just love teenagers !!! Not my crew or I would have booted him from here to Kingdom come.

Cheers guys and thanks once again for your kind words..
