Revolution Series 800 RGY

Take a look of these two pics, please...
You can see a pair of red cylinder-size diodes and a green unit.
Reds are labeled: "650nm; max output <200mw" (dimensions: 50mm x 15mm diameter)
Green is .... unknown. Its dimensions are around 100x64x50 mm

That's what inside my laser device named "Revolution Series 800 RGY" is.

I think:
1) reds can give out no more than 100-120mw each
2) green can give out no more than 200mw (looking at its dimensions).

Now... can these laser units give out 800mw of max. output (yellow, 700mw guaranted!!!) as the seller declare on his web shop?
Surelly NOT!...at the best would be 400mw yellow...

I don't want to slander anyone.... but I really think I've been swindled...

I am too much angry.

it is fright to saw the pictures inside of the large quantity sell unit all over the world, marked with " made in *%^&$".
from the sizes, we analyse this doide is the 120mW CW series unit, pulse can up to 210mW unit, some one always over current it for higher power. yes, just like "Keeprex" said, if you had chance test it and tell us the true power, that will help us know more the lasers.here, many people here had power meter and would like help you, at least "Rob" would like do it for you,only question is he is in UK.
I can see nothing about the green, test power will show us the truth.waiting for that.
thanks for share our pictures. don't angry, steve, at least, we know more truth and not spend more monry on this unit later.

Test the lasers with a powermeter.

You do know that the 2 reds where positioned/rotated for correct polarisation?
You removed them from the brackets so you need to find out the polarisation when you place them back inside the brackets.

i you don't do that you get even less red outof the projector.

what was 'RGBlaser's' insides like? did he have the same/similar set up here? he was getting over 600mW from his one

best always to check first - but if its under then tell laserworld you will be sending a letter from your solictor with courst action for breaking european laws

@ Bridge: I know my great Friend... I need power meter....... Anyway... I want to say that I never seen before, in all my life, red units of this kind to give out more than 100-120 mw each. I also know that a pulsing laser can give out a lot of power more than this... but for few micro/milli seconds only!
Fortunatelly I am waiting for a REAL 250 mw @635nm from a great and famous Factory from the far China (Yours) . But this is another case...

@ Anthony: Yes Mate... I know about polarisation.... I thought I set both diodes best I can. Please take a look at the single red ray in the following pics: it comes from my RS 800RGY device (watch out: red ray is a *steady ray*, others are *on movement* rays).

@ Majorlee now: You said right Mate.... the seller sold me the device for a very super-specialial prize (a huge discount) and he told me that the total guaranteed output power would have been at least 700mw. But this don't means that I have to receive a *underpowered* device because I had a big price's discount!. I paid for 800mW....I have (maybe) 400-450mw)
Where the remains 200-250 mW are gone?

I repeat: I well know I need a power meter for to obtain a real value of output power... yep... absolutelly!
But I repeat also: I am sure these red units are 200-220 mw total and green could be max 200 mw.
I can put my right hand on the fire about this.


Bridge told the only great truth inside this sad story.... I haven't to spend no more a cent for this device. Device will remain as it is now.

Directly from their shop, price directly agreed with the *Boss*...
I tell you more: when shipped, package still had original factory labels from China (and Hong-Kong Airport transit-path labels also...).
I bought other four devices from the same shop. They work fine and I am fully satisfied of them. RS-800 hasn't been a good purchase....

the 800RS RGY is susposed to have a 500mW Red @ 650nm DPSS not 2 x 150mW

the green goes out at 300mW 532nm DPSS

do u mind revealing how much u paid? - i kinda gotta hunch on what they have done here after what your story says

time to get nasty i think, since u also bought from them direct

after my encounter i was strictly told never to buy from ebay again, i had to buy direct in the future - i really didnt think they would try it on with direct purchases but then again nothing suprises me about that certain *boss* - feel sorry for his staff as they seem a really nice bunch


PS - i got a PM from a local laserist warning me about saying bad things about Laserworld on the laserfreaks forum; that they often send letters from lawyers and the name Laserworld has now been [CENSORED] on the forum to stop this happening to members - poor show indeed
