there are 2 types
Solid or stranded internal conductors. Stranded is best as its flexible and will take more of a beating

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

Laserists do it by the nanometre.

No I said STRANDED as in the inner conductors are made from strands of wire instead of solid. It makes them more flexible. CAT 5E is the standard to which the cable is made and defines what data rate you can get with it (amongst other things)

Grab the CAT 5e.

Get the CAT 5E cable
CAT5E Category 5 Ethernet network cabling. (CAT 5 Enhanced.)
The CAT5E standard allows for transmission speeds of up to 1000 mbps (giga-bit Ethernet).
There is little real difference in the cabling standards between CAT5 and CAT5E, the standards for CAT5E being only a little more stringent over CAT5. CAT6 gives a more stringent standard for 1000mbps Ethernet network cabling.

For data, CAT5E is better, but at the expense of distance. If you are Lasering, it won't matter. CAT5E i think just has more twists.
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
ok thanks guys .
