    Default lasever 635nm red review

hi guys my first attempt at a mini review, please excuse pictures i only have camera on my phone and it does not like lasers.

i decided to give up on my home made because of beam stabilty problems,
i just dont have the tools to do the job properly.

well after looking around for a red with good beam spec's, i found that they dont exist under $$$$$, so i went with lasever as they seem to have a good spec for a 635nm ,5x5 beam @ 1mrad, david was happy to answer any questions i asked.
    and after several email q&a's i brought a 250mw 635nm for £370 delivered.
which is very good considering at the moment every one elses prices are going up big time, but lasever prices have stayed the same ,well a week later it turned up on my door, eager to play with it ,i opened it up its was very well packaged and each part was inside a anti static bag,
put it all together and fired it up , from cold it has a soft start that winds up the power slowly until it's warmed up the first thing that struck me was the beam size at full power 5x8mm i emailed david he said its there ,
theres a blur at the beam edge at full power . so i turned down the power a bit and there it was 5x5 as promised, power at full power was 304mw at start up but settled down to 294mw once warmed up , the beam does seem large when in use ,and measured at 5x8mm but most of the power is concentrated in the 5x5 area so you do get the stated power of 250mw in that 5x5 area there just seem's to be a wierd reflection thing going on at full power that gives you the impression of a big 5x8 beam .
as for the divergence thats great it seem to match my green cni very well
i measured it at 1.4 mrad which is a little more than stated but very good compaired to what else's about
so i set it up in the projector fired it up then spent the next two days with a big grin on my face, i was well happy with what i was seeing
the colours were amazing compared to my home made red
took another power reading after the dichro and galvo mirrors and was getting 220mw which i am happy with, i dont think the dichro i am using is very good at 635nm . also i am using jian's big mirror dt40 pro's so i dont lose any beam off the galvo mirrors so all in all i am one very happy bunny
and thanks to david wu for putting up with all my questions and sending me a very nice red laser

    Thanks Chirs! for your review!
I would like to add pictures of the spot.
These pictures are at 20cm away from the aperture. They are of full power, less than 5% power lost by the measured dimensions.

The following are from 1 meter. The "blur", which is the diffraction by the collimation lenses, is not taken into measurement. The power ratio of the diffraction is less than 5%.
