ok well if you guys are interested.. i have spoken to the admin (and friend of mine) of the blinkenshell network (independence is his screen name). he maintains a long running IRC server that is part of the overloadx irc network (blinkenshell, allshells and a few others)

the address is irc.blinkenshell.org
the channel is #photonlexicon

i will relinquish the password to whomever would like to run the room.
otherwise ill just leave it as is..

this server is fast and free and we are welcom there by its admin..

Whats wrong with #laserchat? If you don't like laserchat, you could use the same network and make your own channel. Making a channel isnt that hard, I do it every day for people lol. I dunno, IRC chatrooms havent really taken off, people mostly like talking with voice rather than keys.

I used to love IRC back in the day, These days i cant be bothed loading up mIRC coz its one more window to watch. I think what the forum needs is an intergrated IM/Chat Service a little bit like the new one on facebook.com. Some chat button to click quickly and chat in the room without opening additional windows or tabs

meh... no one is ever in the chats anyways. and if they are they dont respond
