Is there an example of this being done? I was picturing the beam going through something like this

    ...before hitting my scanners.

How would I use *two* scan heads? Would DT25s work?

I think he means remove the optics you first asked about and you will have two beams... hence two scan heads. Probably need two AOMs though.

Thats a figure 4 blanker. Your problem would be finding dielectric mirror coated on both sides.
The fig 4 is the best and fastest, but needs a special mirror or two mirrors on the scanner.
two mirrors is gonna slow you down. Precision Projection in Cerritos CA might have the double sided mirror.
Or you might glue two .1 mm dielectric mirrors back to back. Keep in mind that if its a aluminized mirror your gonna loose
    30% per reflection.

You might want a lasermedia style or retroreflector blanking. Maybe telescope blanking where a flag goes into the beam at a focal point between two lenses. I've done flag, telescope, and pinhole blanking. I'm partial to telescope cause its fast, but pinhole can give you a bit of greyscale.
I'll scan in some pics of all the systems in a day or two

they have a xyb blanking mount with the reflector.

I met the guy who did most of the LP work, and he was a good designer. He sadly passed away a few years ago. His name was Dean Hodges.

Mixed gas - Dean Hodges was my boss at Spectra Physics in 1978. He was not only brilliant but a very humble decent human being. He gave me two brand new lexel 95's (without PTs) so he could clear some space in his storage area. He was a great man R.I.P
