As this forum has also a "Light sources, others than lasers (coherence is lost on them)" folder, I find there has to be a categorie like "Best non-laser light show" or "Best light show, with lasers and other equipment"
A lot of us do things that make us each outstanding in our own ways.
Recognition and reward come in many forms.

i think a lot of these ideas are great and expanding my oiginal idea is great. however, i didnt think it would get this involved. if thats where its headed, thats great. my idea was just more along the lines of...
hey "bob." you have been a great member of the forum this month. you helped a TON of people, answered a lot of questions. so on and so forth...heres a $50 set of dichros for ya.
thats all. i didnt plan on it getting this involved. maybe this involved is a lot better! my idea probably was too broad i guess.
maybe the contests ideas is pretty cool. i like steves idea!! we ALL should come up with a CONCRETE set of ground rules and maybe move forward with it.
