It would seem that this appears similar to some of the tricks JDS used. He didn't use the yag with a strange angle {input not parallel to output surface} though. I would love to investigate more of this just for personal intrest. Please let me know when the information is available.

You know I have a automatic scanner with document feeder and it directly creates PDFs here in Cleveland if you want to go that route.. the pages would have to be de-bound first though.
