Default ground and pin 25 question

okay so i have finished almost all of my projector wiring and have a couple more questions before finalizing.

since i am running a single color and plan to keep it that way i should connect to the intensity pins 3 and 16 correct?

and i am curious i have read bills projector question write up and i am a little lost on what i should use pin 25 for.

    so here the question.
my laser psu has 3 ac terminals but my scanner psu only has 2 (L & N).
should i connect my 3rd pin from the ac input to my central grounding point and my laser psu? what about the scanner psu?

    here are some pictures.

and one last question. since i do not have an interlock at this time do i need to short pins 4 and 17 to get the projector to project?

thanks and this should be the last of the questions til she is all done

When it comes to color signals, leave it up to a well labeled screw terminal block! That way you can make it whatever you want!

    GROUND questions SUCK!

It has everything to do with everything else you are electrically connected to!

    METER!

..... Oh yeah... and call Dean!

    Good luck hearing from him!

okay after reading im still a little unsure but what i have picked up is i should wire pin 25 to only the psu's ground wire.

so would that the COM terminal on the lasers psu and the G terminal on the scanners psu?

so that leaves me with what do i do with the 3rd ac earth pin?

just run it from the cord plug in to the laser psu and then to the central grounding point?

ILDA spec states a single color laser should use the red channel if my memory serves me correctly. If you are using a FB3, you should connect to one of the color channels to allow for fading, as the intensity output is either on or off..

AC earth pin should be connected to the metal case, preferably with a good solder lug and star washers to ensure good earth.

pin25 should connect to the power supply secondary ground's following the star earthing method.. keep this separate from mains earth

thanks dave and yes now that you say that in the pangolin software if you set to one color it is red that gets a slider and defaults

also by secondary ground do you mean the G terminal on the scanpro20s and the COM terminal on the lasers psu?

Missed this one.. pins 4 and 17 are connected together inside the QM2000 or FB3 You would normally connect your interlock loop thru the interlock pins, but in your case, seeing as you have no interlock loop, you don't have to worry- just ignore these for the moment
