    Lightbulb The Post-Your-Christmas-Lights Thread

    Why not?

    Here are mine (so far):

I'm pretty satisfied, for now. I may add more. Mounting those strings on my eves took a total of 12 man-hours or something. (getting them all to stay put required some engineering)

I expect at least one of you has done (or will do) something tricked out that may or may not involve Trans-Siberian Orchestra music. Let's see it!

I don't think im gonna do much in the terms of lights this year, i'll prolly do a few lasershows on the mountains for a few nights if anything. I may use a few of my LED pars and give a little DMX show, but I'm not sure yet.

I will post mine in about a week. I have one of those plug-ins to do different light shows.

I thought long and hard about this one and came up with this festive display containing all of the elements of Christmas...

Ok, I didn't but it looks ok to me

Oh yeah, thats the stuff! Just watch out for them planes, if the media get told about it they will have you on the spot for pointing a high powered laser pointer at the plane in an attempt to bring it down

(just kiddin man, I know you'd be safe about it )

    Nice pics!

    Ha ha, I've been busted

Not really for Xmas, just a quick test one night for a photo... Just me being a silly arse to break up the misery of Monday morning at work..

Can you imagine the crowds of people turning up on my drive to see that??? Hmm, gives me an idea.... I could sell tickets...

I used to put up around 3000 lights for C-mas. Had multiple strings of the mini-bulbs all mounted on shingle tabs so they would slide in all around the roofline. It looked pretty good with every line of the roof (including the ridge) trimmed out in white light. Then I filled all the bushes out front with twinkling lights. All white lights as well.

I don't think I'll be doing that this year though. I seriously doubt my wife would let me get on a ladder!

Then get her up it whilst you secure the bottom (of the ladder, not your wife).
