I'd love to get the workspaces for live pro, as I only have a workspace for cypher lite...

ive been using livepro for over a yr now. still learning new things every time i open it. is there a good user manual around for livepro? I had a workspace that i had built up over a year but a few weeks ago livepro crashed as i was saving it and now it doesnt load anymore, Ive had to start again. i'll have to pull the harddrive out of the smashed laptop and get a copy of it.

I'd love to get the workspaces for live pro, as I only have a workspace for cypher lite
I dont thing the workspaces are the same format. If you only have cypher lite then you cant run livepro workspaces on it. If you do have livepro then you can download the workspace at pangolin's or neolaser's website.

It's interesting that the workspace that came with my version of LivePro details the usage right of the workspace (in the workspace decription) as

"This workspace file is licensed to all Pangolin LD2000 users OUTSIDE Australia ONLY. For
LivePRO users within Australia, please contact us on the above email address for licensing."

I live in Australia, does that mean I need to remove it and create my own?

I might be interested in that magical PM as well

Workspace Playtime 2004 and 2007 are made by laserist Glenn Turner who lives Down under.

He made the workspace availeble for everyone outside of austrailia.

I would just send him a email, or just change the original workspace a little bit and don't tell anyone .

    The reason is simple,
with the same workspace you can create the same visual effects. so you can make the same show, so you are competition in your country.

Outside australia we are no competition.

But isn’t that the point to LivePro, it’s a frame/effect player that manipulated live by an individual therefore practically making each performance somewhat unique.

So I don’t see where the competition is, especially when you could make your own very similar to that one. Also the average punter wouldn’t be able to identify the frame/effect combo played.

And from my understanding of configuring it (I’ve only just started playing with it and please correct me if I'm wrong) there isn’t really any technical merit in it as your only copying frames and effects into cell for easy selection during a performance.

The merit is in the time taken to get a layout that works best for the operator

That's interesting, considering quite a bit of the content has been pulled from some of the beam shows included with LD2000
