I would fix it to Ally angle on all sides and a couple of braces arcoss the middle to give it a bit of support... It might flex when things start getting warm in there..

it will be supported by steel on two sides.

also laserwave modules dont need a alum heat sink and therefore shouldnt get hot

i think everyone is being a bit harsh with what they are saying here. its you thats building it and if you feel it will be satisfactory then fair play to you. enjoy the build but i bet you wish you could keep it

keep pics coming cause i cant wait to see this.

    cheers

not worked out the final size yet as im reducing the size of the plates slightly.

maybe the plates ive got arent top quality alum as they are 100% solid. there is no bending or flexing when i add alot of weight.

also once in the case, the plates will be supported. the lasers will all be in a line and supported underneath by steel.

im very greatful for everyones input and help but there isnt any flexing issues.

Yea, very nice set up you got going there, but you neeed to wrap them ends up with the anti-static bags that were on them when they were shipped until you plug them into the drivers.

Base needs to be thicker!! For our latest RGB, which will be about 7-8w when done, we are using 16mm plate, although we will loose a mm or so, machining the surface flat..
