    Default scanner cable question.

i want to run my little lumascan (lumalaser aka lame-o laser)scanner on my buddys argon beam box for an upcoming show.

problem is, the laser will be up on a truss putting the ambient input gain control out of reach.

it's a multi pin computer style cable and i have to have it in reach to adjust for music level changes.

will i have signal problems running a longer cable?

i'm guessing it would need to be at least 25 feet long but it would make more sense to buy a 50 footer to have set ups covered in the future.

I bet you'd be fine with 25 additional feet, or even 50.

I use a 50' serial extension cable for my ILDA cable, for now, and it works fine. I plan on making a better one later though.

    hey jonathan-
    zup?

    thanks.
looks like i may get together with james for some shows.
he has bounce mirrors too so it could get..., well, complicated.

    thanks,
    w
