    Ha ha, just got that!

I should have added I looked at mine from behind due to the fact I was hand holding the projector. Probably if I'd watched from the front it might have been more pronounced. I was playing around yesterday in the bedroom with the projector and smoke in daylight. In daylight could hardly see a beam from behind but it was still very nice from the front. I still think in my case oustide the fog droplets were too large to get a great result though. Could actually see large indiviual droplets in the beam of the green.

PS hoping for some more fog or misty conditions now my fence is up so I can go out and fire some beams in the garden. The garden overlooks a busy(ish) road so has never been an option for over 2 years since we moved in, but the fence was completed on Wed so now I can play!

Your next job now is to get that port hole sorted in the back of your garage for the 168.

Long exposure has done you some favours there in the photo, thats very bright for only 130mw of 660nm. My 550mw of 650nm doesn't look that bright albeit I can't project pencil beams. I'm thinking perhaps the longish exposure has helped capture the beams better.

I personally think the ISO used is the helper :-)
The exposure is quarter of a Second ...thats not so long

    The 405 has a pencilbeam (about 15mm)
the red was not properly focused and had a 15cm (6") beam at 20mtrs

this one is Half a second (exposure 1/2sec at F4)
    Again handheld.
    The ambient light gets brighter.
