Default Build your own LaserWave Lasers

    Hi Guys and Girls

Yes build your own very cheap LaserWave lasers!

All you need is 2 sheets of paper; a laser printer (connected to a computer of cause) a knife, some glue and some stick tape!

    Hahahahahaha

To compliment the Technical Drawing that I created (see other thread) I thought it would be handy for people that find it hard to visualise objects to be able to make models to assist in working out the placement of the units.

Following is a series of photos of the first prototype, a LaserWave Red 635nm @ 400mW

I have some refinement to do but I have also attached the PDF document you can print out and try it, however there are no instructions but it’s fairly straight forward to build (I might post a video of construction later)

    Any comment please post
    Enjoy
    Troy

    Talking

    That's excellent!

Now all you need are some skinny red soda straws to make the beam!

That stuff is really neat. The only thing I don't like about it is the squeel from the high voltage power supply. Oh well, soon enough, my hearing will fade away in that reagion and it won't bother me anymore.

That's really cool! I'll get some heavier paper and make a couple myself.
    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I had to wiki that one!

Cool! That is a kind of fractal.

If you look in the first couple of frames you can see a few white foam cubes stuck together. Those are the packing foam corners from my ADAT machine. They were the inspiration for the 7/8ths of a cube idea. I like the way they fit together.
