    Default Need some more help!

Now, I am working on my ISEF project with pumping Cr doped gain meduims with 430nm light from high power LEDs.

I am in need on a schematic for a TEC temperature controller using a resistive thermocouple. I need the TEC driver to take at least 30W at 12V. I have the TECs already (Marlow rocks!) and I have solder to solder them to the parts. I am good with electronics so making a complex circuit is not a problem, I just can't seem to find any of the information I need.

In addition to the TEC driver, I am also wondering how you typically build a starting delay into a system? As of now, I am planning on incorperating a STAMP microprocessor to control the delay and the currents.

If you are interested in my project, send me a PM and I can further explain it.

    Ben,

    Check out this thread: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...=TEC+SCHEMATIC

I have a couple of these I was planning on using for my kilns (the price sure has dropped). Buy the off the shelf unit, they are programmable, plug in the thermistor, power, TECS and away you go!

aha, but you'd have to know how to set the parameters properly

Thanks Steve! What would you recommend I do for the PWM power controller?
