    Default VIDEOS

    JUST THOUGHT ID POST A VIDEO LINK OF MY LASERS I TOOK LAST NIGHT. IM NOT TOO HAPPY AS I USED MY DVD CAMCORDER BUT IT DIDNT COME OUT VERY WELL. THEY DONT LOOK VERY BRIGHT AND I DONT HAVE A STILLS CAMERA. OH WELL ENJOY

    Talking new photos

    got a stills camera so i uploaded some pictures. got more but im going to add to the gallery but it doesnt seem to be working at the moment.
    will upload when i can.

    one more thing. take a look at the terrible 650nm diode. its about an inch wide the beam. alot of it doesnt hit the scanner but theres is nothing i can really do about it.

    Course there is !!
    You could get one of them magic lens focusing do-hickies that focus the beam.
    I don't think that's the technical term for 'em though.

    Question

    Pic 6 appears to show some of the beams going through the dichro instead of being reflected.
    Are they cheapo dichro's or is that loss normal?

    You mean a collimator and have you seen the price? Cheaper to buy a new laser!

    By the way Oliver, you're not alone, the beam specs on my Laserworld red are just as bad. However, whilst you're losing red, provided the projector colours are nicely balanced, I'm not sure it matters that much. To stop the losses might add too much red to a balanced projector and result in other changes being necessary. My advice is provided it meets its general spec or you're happy with its output colours as they are, just sit back and enjoy it.
