    Default Awsome 3D hologram !

After the "what the heck" thread..
I did some more searching for Hologram.
    And I did find this

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKCUG...eature=related

    That is insane cool !!

I just wonder, is it not possible to use that idea on the laser?
Mount a laser on top, and a spinning white plate (like that mirror) under the laser..

So when the plate spin, it`s synced with the laser on top.
Then the laser know where to put the dots
And if you are a skilled designer you can make some nice 3D effects in the "air" ...

    Possible ?

My other idea is why not use that Focus technic on 3D laser ?!
You have X and Y to move the laser..
Then you add another Z to focus the senter-focus in the air !

If you have the perfect lenses on the lasers, you can focus a tiny spot in the air..
So if you focus that spot in the air in all 3 dimensions, you got a hologram ... right ?
I think this becouse if the laser have a fat beam-output, you will ONLY se the tiny focal point of the laser... :-)

All you need is a darn high-speed moving lense and some fog in the air..

    Talking

That's about the most impressive 3D imaging technology I've seen yet.

Thanks for pointing that out. Very cool.

I know that is NOT a hologram
    never say it was..
I did just sarch for a hologram...

But if you read my post, I know a idea to make a REAL hologram with the lasers

    well.... i wish...

Sorry, I was misled by the title of the thread which says "Awsome 3D Hologram"

    Still wrong i'm afraid...

In the very simplist of terms a hologram is basically a photograph of light wave interference.

It has nothing to do with spinning mirrors/plates etc.

    wrong again
That is how we've come to know it.
Leave out 'light' and you're closer.
Going back all the way: holography basically means "whole + writing". It is used in the way of laser light holograms because the 'photograph' store more information - but not even close to whole - than an ordinary photograph. But hey, what's in a word? (a whole world probably )

Anyway, this 'real' hologram is very impressive, I've seen it in real life. You can look through the holographic glasses and see the text on the page in or out of focus.

Ok the title in the Thread lied :P

Anyway, I dont only thinking about using mirrors..
But make the laser dot only vissible exatly 3-4 meters in front of the scanner.
Using some lenses to focus the dot
    I dont think it`s soooo easy... but hey it`s a idea :P

Ah.. that picture holograms is cool
I seen them in the MOS museums in Boston.

OH Yeah! That is so cool! I once seen a hologram that was the top end of a microscope. At about 1 foot away, you could actually look through the eyepiece and see a little spider. Coolest thing ever! If anyone knows where I can get a copy of this hologram, please let me know!
    Thanks!

    Adam,

    Check out this link...

    http://www.holoshop.com/catalog/display_item.asp?id=191

These folks used to have a shop in Downtown Houston, strictly internet now. One of the better selections I've seen.

    Thanks Greg!
That's exactly what I was looking for.
