Default Edmund Vs. Hoya Which is better?? & Why

ok So now one sees that he needs a aperture window for his projector, Ive also seen that Edmundoptics Item #NT48-923 is 2% loss and that Hoya HMC Super Skylight 1B is just about the same at around 3% loss overall. So my question is Really, Which one is better for live shows, repeated cleaning, & total overall laser light loss

    Go 'CDAR', all the way...

Why? 0.5% loss (!!); tough boro-silicate glass; can buy larger sizes / cut-to-custom-sizes quite easily, if needed; cleans-up well -
best cleaned with pure water / mild soap (ie: thinned-out dishsoap...) so no NEED for 'expensive' solvents, but can take solvents fine (acetone, methanol, etc...) if desired... we've tested to 66W, no problems whatsoever... 'stuff is the bomb..

    peace..

I have used the Hoya Super SMC for years....no issues at all. Even thought I scratched one....it wiped off with alchy. I like them a lot...they are on all four of my RGB's. Plus you can get the nice snap on cap covers to keep it clean and dust free.
