    Smile my first green projector

it's still "in progress", but it works. becouse i dont like writing -> photos tell much more

i hate D25 connectors so i use XLR7 instead (fuck about standards ), projector is still missing some connectors but it's working... power connector is powercon, XLR3 for external safety switch, 22mm hole for keylock switch, XLR7 for ilda (X, Y , blanking, common ground)

case is from thomann.de (http://www.thomann.de/fi/adam_hall_87409v.htm) with custom made front and backpanels.

laser and galvos are from ebay, laserworld stuff...

XLR's are cool. I use them for a solar powered 12V system (modified, with fuse links, keyed so normal ones won't plug to power boards). Good for 16A each. But DB25's are ok, if you want them to be strong, mounting two of them parallel to each other, and binding the cables of the two plugs firmly about 2" back from their entry points, will do it. With them screwed tight, they are very strong then, no flex, except in the flex, if you follow...

    Looks nice!!

Although, you do realize that since you opted to "fuck about standards ", you'll have to rewire or build an adapter cable for virtually any commercially-available controller you might want to use.

They're called "standards" for a reason.

i already have adapters, but generally DB25 is poor connector when used in gigs/parties/etc. its mechanically poor, 1 color projector uses only 7 pins of 25, needs screwdriver to lock them....

also i plan make some XLR7 <-> RJ45 adapters, becouse cat5 is cheap

this projector is mainly for my personal use. legislation for lasers is in finland like training the G-mans hobby....

That's cool - sturdy, reusable adapter cables can definitely make life easier!

I think some of our fellow members from "down under" also use adapters and CAT5 cable in some of their gigs - you might want to give "Dave" or "Aijii" a shout for tips.

VERY professional metal-work and labeling on your case - looks great!
