Whilst the "just turn up and blast some lasers" ethos is fun, surely we could increase the WW factor by actually linking gear up and making "an event".

We all spend thousands of pounds on our stuff and get the chance to play our own shows at home but how often do we get the opportunity to be a part of something bigger, something combined where the sum of our parts comes together to create something that we could never do at home on our own !

It doesn't have to take over the entire meet, just an hour or two.

Let's show them damn yankees how to do it !

    Whaddya say ?

The man from del monte he says ....yes

In addition it would be usefull to know what people are bringing...a definitive list of who is bringing what...so we lug tons of stuff hundreds of miles...only to find out everybodys brought the same kit ....but we could have done with other kit ...that nobody brought!!!!

Welcome HappyTomato. Thanks for the soldering offer but I think in these evnviroments anyone needing soldeing is more likely to need big soldering doofa rather than SMD I really doubt it would be worth bringing.

As regards smoke the venue has fog machines at least one of which will be available - We did run out of fog juice last time so maybe if someone could bring some of that along or if one of them there hazer boys bring their machine as one of them will do us all

I plan on bringing the 168 with all its gubbins, there will also be my little RGB - maybe upgraded with the better blue and I will have the 500mW green I had in Dec. There will also be some Laser-Wave products available hopefully these will include a brand new type of laser that we are all waiting for

I'll buy some extra fog juice before the meet if I have some spare cash lying around.

I might be able to get a 15" touch screen as well, just for the weekend, I'll look into that.

can't wait to see the 168!

@smog , i might take a few of those aluminum bits. if by bits you mean chunks of aluminium can't wait to see the CuBr either

also , could i request a quick shot of someones DAC ? I would love to see what my Scanpro20s are capable of outside the realm of DMX

I'll bring a few diffraction gratings if anyone wants.

I plan to bring my two green projetors and the Red HeNe I bought off Smog.

Do People really want me to bring my laser harp again as I was planning to start rebuilding it into a frame-less one with a 300mW laser in it but this would mean it would not make the meet. I can hold off the rebuild and just put the 300mW'er in for the meet but still with the frame.

I for one would like to see it, but if it's going to set the building of the next one back, then you should leave it. Suppose you can wait to see what others say.
