    Default DT40pro calibration help

Hi all! I just pulled an old set of galvos out that have been lying around in storage for about a year now. I remembered they were DT40s of some sort, but I gotta get these things calibrated and I have none of the documentation for the amps. The bottom confirms theyre "DT-40pro 0800"s and the board says "DT-4XXX 2006 07".

I checked the manuals on Dave's Laser Show Systems site but they seem to be for a newer board configuration. Any chance someone could help me identify which pots are what on these July 06(?) boards? They have a total of 9 square (adjusted from the top) pots per amp: an in-line row of 7 on the front, and 2 more up on some funky external board thats screwed on near the heatsink.

If someone could identify these by that description and help me figure out the pots that'd be a huge help (I'm a newbie to scanners, so go easy on me with those technical explanation please!). If there's still confusion, I'll try to get some pictures of these posted in the next few days. Thanks a lot!

Hi Mafu, are you located in the USA? If so, I can offer to tune them and apply a modification to them to make tuning much easier. The current DT-40Pro amp only has 2 pots for tuning! On that older style, there are really just 3 pots you need to work with to tune them. What are you using for a DAC?

Thanks for the offer. I am in the US but I'm okay on doing the tuning once I know what pots control what. On Dave's site there's a link where it explains what each pot controls and I was wondering if there was something similar for these older boards. At the very least, could anyone let me know which pots control servo gain, HF and LF damping? Thanks.

As for DAC, right now I'm just trying to get some basics running with EasyLase run with Mamba Black

Take a look at the PDF from this post:

Should have everything you need in there. These are not accurate for the newer DT-40's since there have been some changes to the amp.

    Hey Mafu,

I think I spoke via email to you? Anyway, the scanners we sell are 100% different to the DT40's - different manufacturer etc..
