    Default Cambridge scanner - wirinh help?

    guys need a little bit of help.

    got some cambridge scanner and im a little unsure on the psu wiring.

    below is a pic of the psu.

    on each scanner amp ive got like two sets of wires -

    +30v, GND
    -30v, GND

    how do i wire that to that psu?

    remember I said I had marked them incorrectly.
    where it says -30 that should be 0v so if you refer to the diagram I sent you - which explains it better than words you should be good.

    I'm not sure if you should earth the common wire ...
    Maybe rob is, if so, I said nothing

    The PSUs need to be earthed at some point otherwise the 30v will be floating as on these PSUs there is no relationship of hot side to low volt side. The earth marked should be taken to ground at the designated star point

    Ah I thought it meant that point should be connected to chassis earth (maybe I interpreted the symbol wrong)

    another quicky question, i see there is a led on the scanner psu's but should there be one on the scanner amps?

    or do i just need to take the plung and plug the galvos in?

    There is no LED on the microamp board. They will work - Ive had them working
    Only connect up the scanner with power off - though im sure you know that
