    Default new to scanners

    i know i need galvos, dmx boards(thinking scanpro 20k or the 30k kit from chinesedepartmentstore.com), and lasers but are there any optics i may need? beam splitters, fs mirrors?

    You need a mirror to change the direction of a beam.

    You need a dichro to combine two beams of different wavelengths.

    You need a PBS cube to combine polarized beams of the same wavelength.

    Might as well grab a diffraction grating or two while you are at it. No real need, but they can give your bounce mirrors a boost... O, you need bounce mirrors also. Well, not need but you get the picture.

    thanks! i made a liquid sky from a red LOC diode thats set at 350ma and does about 200mw. it looks good but a greenie in there would look so much better...

    by bounce mirrors you mean front surface?

    Yea, but by bounce mirrors I mean mirros you hang on the wall tobounce beams back from the surface you are projecting from. Those can be any mirror as you are just going for an added effect. If youput a diffraction grating on the mirror it wil rlflect the grating effect back our instead of just a beam.
