    Default Multiline RGB Laser Build

    Hello!
I have started a new project now and draw the principe on "google sketchup", so I havenīt draw each detail.
This should be a multiline RGB laser with 405-457-473-532-640-660nm coubled into one Beam. I want to add a Grating-bench, I think the effect will be much nicer, than only 3 lines. In future I hope to add a orange/yellow (593.5nm) DPSS laser, but for now the other lines are enought.
The 457nm , 473nm and 532nm are from Viasho and would start their way to me the next days :-)
On the drawingīs I havent add the grating-bench and the beamswitchs, becouse I donīt know directly what I will use for that.
The size of this construct will be 560*410*200mm outside, a really "monster" Tocket have made me a nice color-triangle for 473-532-660 , and my setup. You will see that I get a wider color spectrum, at the magenta/blue line.
The beam will be completly at max. 4*3mm with ~1-1.2mrad (becouse of the DPSS lasers).
How you see, the laser-combination is cabselled from the electronics and the grating/galvo bench.
Now I wait for the lasers that I could start to build it

    Greetings,
    Phil

This is how it should look if itīs finished:

Here you see that the Laser-combination is cabselled:

Here is the Laser-combination of the different wavelengths:

And here you see which laser has which wavelength:

    Thumbs up

HEY!!! That's my laser!!! That is my exact goal; I will place bets that your's will be completed first. I would actually like to go with 445 instead of 457 and 635 instead of 640. I should have some 405 in my projector tomorrow night, but I need to find a nice low powered 635 with a thin beam to match the 660s I have now. I too feel diffraction gratings and lumias will look awesome with the extra lines. Good luck with your build; keep us posted with pics. I just plan on adding the other lines to what I have.
    Love, peace, and grease,

    Hello!
I think I would build more power than you, so there isnīt a nice 635nm avaiable!
BTW, does anybody have a detail drawing of the bigger Viasho head (green 400-2000mW)? I need it to construct the groundplate.
    Greetings,
    Phil

WOw what a project, looking forward to your results. I'll be adding 405 as the fourth line to my setup soon, and 445 when prices come down.

What DAC / hardware are you going to use to control all the lasers?
Will you control them separately by software or are you building some color mixing hardware that takes the three RGB channels and splits them into 5 modulation signals for the 5 colors?

I have a 1000-1500 532nm Viasho head, what dimensions do you need?

    Hello!
I will use 2 parts, one time a electronic who split, otherthime a riya USB
The complete dimensions for how to mount it,etc. (the holes)

    phil,

It's cool that your showing your project :-)
Just what we talked about!!! great job.

    I have one question..
You seem te use a cube for the 660 and 640 lasers.

Are those lasers single diode lasers without cubes in them?
I always thought you can only use one cube for the same laser in a setup?

    Hello!
The 640/660nm laser has more coubled diodes inside... the output is polarized So itīs no problem to couble 2 per polecube.
