    Default 405nm again again again

hi another 405 question. im looking at messing with some 405 stuff as i have a spare set of galvos.

i was planning on getting 3 or 4 150mw 405nm diodes. they are the pt803 i think there called and have already been told to run them at 100mw as 150mw is over rated.this isnt a problem.

what im looking at doing is getting 4 of them to make about 400mw but then i need to combine the beams to make one beam

how can i do this with 405nm?
will i need new mirrors for my scanners?

any help on this would be greatly appreciated

    cheers ollie

you'd still use the same type of beam combiner setup just coated for ~405nm. edmund optics or anchor optics has a good selection and can even make custom stuff for you.

Bridge has a 405 cube now. I have not tested the one I have yet, but should have something going this weekend. to combine 4 you will need to knife edge them into a cube. Like this...

Yea, others have done it. Phritzer, I think keeperx... might be wrong on that one... but there are several members with 4 reds combined in a similar fashion that you can seek advice from.

there should be a 405 PBS in the 803t sleds that can be used to combine beams. I've got a pair but haven't opened them up yet.
