Seconded - top quality animation, I wonder how long it took to make?!
I'm more interested how the scanners can handle raster and vector scanning in the same frame without distorting![]()
Thanks Bridge
Anthony's correct
Cambridge just make the best scanner
And there not even fully tuned, I've been meaning to get around to fine tunning them better
And there only 6210
I want to get some 6215 high power ones though

Man if I lived any closer I would be droppin into visit you every weekend!
Thats some nice kit.
Yeah, that's the show that won 2nd place in the 2008 Pangolin laser show competition. It's also my favorite graphics show.
As to how you can do rasters in the same frame with vector art, the answer is not "Cambridge"... It's PANGOLIN. I have that show, and I can run it on my projector just fine. (I don't have Cambridge scanners.) That show will run at 30K and look just fine on any properly tuned set of scanners.(I even ran that show on a set of DT-25's once, and it still looked great.)
Also, that show is freely available for any Pangolin LD-2000 user. On the PL FTP server there is a file called "Showsfordist.zip" That has everything you need for this show and two others from the 2008 competition.
Having said all that, I think Troy deserves some credit for getting a very good video capture of the show. The show uses lots of shading, and parts of the graphics fade in and out to give the illusion of depth. This is very hard to capture with a camera, but I think he's done a great job of it!

Heh I really wanna try out this show
*Goes to grabs a donations box and sit on the sidewalk*
Surely someone one here must have an LD2000 above intro version.
They'd be able to capture the show as an avi file to create a better facsimilie of the show for non Pango users.......
Hi all
I have posted the winning show "Standing in motion" up on YouTube

I’ve also posted the “La Luna” show, this is by far my favourite show so far, I find it has a lot of “emotion” to it where the beam show seems to be dancing with the music

Enjoy

EDIT:
Bugger, I meant to post this to the Pangolin User Meeting thread
