The scaneco galvo's arent that great.. but for the price i can't complain.
Last night i sat down and tryed to tune the scannersystem.. 2hours fiddeling.
They are better but not up to par with what most of you guys have running in your projectors.
My Big projector build is on hold for the moment.
I have parts on the way... so thats a good thing..
But sadfully my PC (older Pentium D 805 dualcore) died on me.
Systemboard whent senile and the Sata controller fried.
I decided to get a new proco/mobo/mem and build something thats good enough for the next 2 years.... (so i have a little dent in the budget)
i know i am a bit late but what are the voltage limits for this board? can i use 12v input for my mains? and the stan_ham is a constant current design right?
thanks
yes very nice. i hope i can find a simple design to allow me to integrate a 110v ac main to 12v dc similar to yours.
i was thinking 12v because i want to try and run a pair of diodes iin series.
if this is a constant current design the driver should see it as one load and equally drive each diode.
as with blue rays 5v *2= 10v and then add the voltage drop of the board i would think 12v in is perfect.
with open cans 2.8v *2=5.6v ~ im sure there is going to be much more heat on this driver due to the excessive driver voltage. not sure if the ic could handle 800ma current either.
any suggestions would be helpful.
thanks for the reply!!

Cant wait to see the next one......

Thanx mate,
Sadfully there will be no next one for many years to come.
I stopped my loved laser hobby due to circomstances and some setbacks.
I sold most of my gear incl the pango board...
This projector was taken apart and sold to different PL members.
The love for the choherent light wil never go away... just as my love for pyrotechnics.
Its in the blood and is part of me.....
Some day i will build a truely stunning projector, for now i will have to do with watching what you guys build....
Damn... i really miss my little projector en the weekly dose of coherentlight.
hey Anthony
great to see you around here again - are you tempted to delve back into the laser fun?

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.
