Sorry but I can't find it :/
I can't find a component which is placed there.. I am a bit confused with that part of the schematic. Any help would be appreciated.

The modulation input is where you put 0-5V, an analog or TTL signal to switch the diode. This is so when you use it in a scanner, you can turn the diode on and off at specific times. To make the driver output something to start with, connect that to 5V.

The power input connections are infront of the capacitor, the 2 pads.

Then look at post #7. Shows one built and ready to go.

Thanks, I understand where everything is connected. And the monitor pads are for checking the current flowing in the driver?

@ mophead, from what I have read, that ready circuit is not exact as the one described in the first post. I saw a component was replaced. Am I wrong?
