    Default Scanner Warning Labels?

Is there any standard label layouts for laser scanners? I want to put a warning lable stating the 50mW 532nm output by the exit hole in front of the galvos.

Its not totally nessicery because its just being used in family parties but it will work as a warning in case anyone does feel stupid.

I looked on google but didnt really find much that can be adapted for what I want.

I think there may be some posted on the FTP server. Some of the UK folks may have copies of the "official" labels needed for that side of the pond.

There were some templates put on the FTP server a while ago in Visio and PDF.

Unfortunately not many people have Visio and the PDF versions appear to be rights protected which means you can't edit the text.

They are great labels but without editing features you won't be able to customise the powers / wavelength information to the match your system.

Thanks mate, those will be handy.

I have made my own one based on the link below because I am at work and have no ftp programs here. I modified the text from http://www.measuretron.com/images/products/laser-warning.jpg to the attatched.

Just need to find a way to print it in colour now, the lable printer here is black and white...

It seems you're all sorted, but I came across these sites a while back.

They do have the laser symbol if you scroll down, so can be quite useful.
I just need to get some glossy labels for my printer now!

    Thanks

I just took 3 or 4 paper labels from work, I will try measuring out the paper margins of my printer at home and sticking the label down onto that with double sided tape and printing.

Hopfully then I can just pull the lable off its normal backing and stick it down

Shouldnt be too hard to do.

Its a pity the originals weren't made in something more accessible such as Publisher or unlocked PDF's with editable text sections.

I'll have a look at those sites you posted but at 1st glance I'm unsure about sizing as it seems to be a single size template.

Maybe if I get time I'll see if I can reproduce some in Publisher.

The biggest problem though is matching the font if you don't know what font was used.

Handy thing about these lables is they are all solid colours with no gradients or anything meaning you can easily resize it to whatever size you want without it pixelating. Thats why my label is so huge, its easier to work on large scan so you can see exactly what you are doing and I can just downsize it to the right label size when I come to print.

As for the font, the one I edited above is using Arial Bold. It is virtually identical to the original.
