    Sweet!!

What did you use to insulate & mount your MechEng specials?
    (I acquired a pair myself...)

What camera & exposure settings did you use for those shots?

WOW! Very nice Aaron! I knew adding 405 would look great. Can't wait to give it a try myself. Great Pics!

Thanks y'all! I actually predicted this would happend in early 2007...

I was off by about a year or so, but I bet most of us will be running atleast 4 color channels by SELEM 2009.

I am still playing with the pallette; some colors need a lil more "tweaking".

And great color-palette - that last 'cones' shot is quite 'eyegasmic'...

I'm going to attempt something similar in the next few months,
Where did you get those small x/y mounts?
The mounts are just MM1 style acquired from various sources... mostly all from members here.

I just mounted them on a 1/3 inch plastic "plate" and usually have a heatsink sitting on top of them while being careful not to touch anything metal to the heatsink... I will try to take a few pictures of them specifically if you like.

The camera is the boss' Christmas present I got for her. It is a Sony A300 DSLR. For the beam shot is was ISO400 and Auto; the graphic I set to ISO1600. 3200 is too fast and doesn't catch the whole frame and anything lower catches too many frames. I need to make some true videos instead of ustream recordings.

Nice work Aaron... Those shots are absolutely AMAZING!! Next weekend should be a big triumph!! Did you mix any green with your violet? Not sure if you got around to that.

Thanks guy! No green with the violet. I started adding 405 with the "blue-Green" all the way to "red-Magenta". I am using 50% with Blue to try for the 445 look. I "feel" I am close, but... Loks good to me. I am as I type, playing around with the "purple"... a little green with red seems to look better than more red with a lot more blue... Dammit Mo...

I made a video of 4 beam shows last night and uploaded them to the FTP, "RGBV Beam shows" as I do not hink I can make a 350mB attachment. It is all one file. I can try and split them up if someone wants.

    Smile about adding violet

what i do not understand is how somebody can add another colour other than the three red green blue where is the 4th colour connected? i mean as far as i know my scanner board has only three ttl/analogue outputs so that somebody can connect red green blue does that mean that if you want to add violet you just connect the modulation along with the blue laser modulation? but then how do you get violet colour on its own to project?
    can somebody help me ?

    thank you best regards

The QM2000 has 3 extra colour channels which connect to the User Defined pins on the ILDA DB25 connector. You can then use the pallete in LD2000 and train it to the laser colours in your projector...
