Do you have a replacement diode? I have done one of them with a diode from SinoLaser which turned out pretty well. I could take a look at it if you want. I am in Cupertino, California.

Im pretty sure it is the diode pump, because i look at the other optics very closely and i saw nothing de lamination or such. How much is a sinolaser diode? I just dont have the experience working on diodes. Give me an ION or a Big A yag and I cool with them

I think I paid something like $210 for the diode from a friend and it was the same as new. The diode shouldn't be more then $300 shipped total. The diode is usually always the problem.

I also have the diagnostic software so the current and thermal characteristics can be set that way.

Not always with a Melles......You are probably looking at a cracked/delaminating vanadate/yag. Not just any replacement will work as these are wedge shaped to not allow the returning green beam into the setup. You can tell by using a low powered pointer if the assy is out of the laser.....if you touch the crystal or look at it wrong or in a mean way it will self destruct it's optical bonding....no fun. Pix please....high res. The diode can be tested easily enough to rule that out.....Carefull up to 20 watts or 808nm....take the interface software and turn down the current after looking at the operating perameters first....
