    Default Buy or trade?

This poor argon is mostly just sitting here. I get to fire it up about once a month just to show friends. Anybody want to trade or buy it?

I think the upper limit of the power supply is about 7.8amps. I haven't tried to get it to go any hire.

Hmm let me check that on sams laser FAQ ... I'm sure the PSU should do 10A ...

EDIT: "A fresh 60X argon ion tube should drop about 106 to 109 Volts at 10 amps doing 95 to 107 mW, all lines, with TEM00 optics."

So yeah, it should do 10A , and if the tube is in good condition it should be at 106-109V ( 101V being dying 115V is over filled )

the ALC60 lasers always seem to get more money than their JDSU/cyonics counterparts. Not quite sure why... maybe because of the external optics.

Also, this is a full WORKING setup with PSU and everything. Turn-key.

Everything on ebay is usually just a head or just a PSU. Rarely it is a pair and almost never are they guaranteed working. THey are all sold 'as-is', because no one wants to test them. Or they have tested them, they didn't lase, but they dont want to take responsibility for the tube being dead when it gets into the buyers hands.
