Which pattern to use when testing Laser Power?

Hello. I recently tested my lasers with a power meter and got depressing results untill I drew a very complicated graphic which I guess forced the lasers to work harder.

What graphic should I use to test a lasers power?
Does FB3 have a built in CW setting?

Ha! To measure laser power You can use any image that will fit Your detector, but to measure full power of the laser You should make it run full power, i.e. apply +5V to intensity input (ILDA). This may hard to achieve with LaserFX software, 'cos they frequently add some blanking points You are not aware of, yet lowering the laser power for a brief moment of time. Also, for accurate measurement the laser beam should be stationary at the laser power detector, not wiggling.
At last, measuring power after the scanners is rather measuring projector output power - You're including several unavoidable loss sources on the laser beam path.
