    Cheers Karl,
    I'll take you up on your offer after Monday, as I'm away too this weekend.
    Have a good time in Poland!

    FYI: I purchased a pair of these remotes from the same seller (reece011068) on Feb 6th. Before I placed my "buy-it-now" bid, I asked the seller how much it would cost to ship to the US. £8.50 was the reply, which seemed reasonable.

    I sent them a paypal payment on Feb 6th for £11.98, which was £1.98 for the winning bid and £10.50 for shipping. I included a note saying that the extra shipping money was to cover any increased charge for shipping 2 instead of 1. They sent me a reply that same day saying that this was "fine".

    Fast forward 1 week to yesterday... I get an e-mail from the seller (not via E-bay, but direct from him to me) saying that they need another £8 to cover the shipping, and that I can either sent them the money via Paypal or request a refund.

    I was a little miffed by this, so I sent a message to E-bay explaining the situation and asking for clarification. I also sent a message to the seller explaining that I didn't trust the situation at all, and that I was checking with E-bay... (I also forwarded that message to E-bay.)

    No resolution of the matter yet, but in my opinion the seller should be obligated to honor his original quoted terms. If pressured, I think I'll take the refund rather than pay the extra money.

    Anyway, that's been my experience with this seller thus far.

    That's a bit dishonest of them..!
    If things don't pan out, I'd be more than happy to 'drop ship' some to you if you are need of some remotes. They have the pumps and a few other bells and whistles for cheap.
    Are you using it for a fogger too?
    If so, may be worth hanging on for a day or two until I can confirm mine works 100%.
    Anyway, the offer is there.

    Dan

    Edit: When I'm back on Monday, I can weigh my remote and get you an exact cost to post from RM Airmail if that helps...

    Hi Dan;

    Thanks for the offer! I'm especially interested in the amount the post would charge to send a pair of those remotes to the US. That would give me more ammunition in the dispute.

    And yeah, if it comes to it, I might simply part company with this seller and order them through you instead! I will be using them for a fogger, but I'll probably have to do some modification to them. (It's more for spare parts than anything else though.)

    I really appreciate you willingness to help out. Will let you know how things pan out.

    Adam,
    I'm back and I've just weighed the remote+cabling on the kitchen scales, and it's about 350g (excluding packaging) each.
    So including a jiffy bag, by Royal Mail's standards it will cost £4.53 to post 1, and £8.47 for two.
    Hope that helps...

    Hi Dan;

    Thanks for the info! I've just sent another e-mail to E-bay's customer support team. (HA! Customer support my ass...) They aren't being very proactive on this at all. I have a feeling I'm going to end up asking for a refund. But I guess I can give E-bay a couple more days to respond.

    Really appreciate your willingness to help out here Dan!

    Adam
