Yeah baby, more pics, this means progress is being made

Now I hear of other members having issues with power supplies being to close together, do you guys think that the lay out looks well for my power supply layout?

I have 5 power supplies, 3 for the lasers, 1 for the galovs & 1 for fans & shutter......

    Thanks for any advice guys

    Thumbs up

Nice fuse set up! I only have one power supply for my lasers that I would probably run my shutter and fans off of also, but it is a 5V 18 amp PSU. You could add a fan just for the supplies.

my 12v is 5amp, I do plan on adding 3 fans... 2 on the left & right bottom and one on top a very little one for the galvo amps as they do get abit hot from time to time.....

I think you have the right idea there. I would think that running the scanners and shutter off the same power supply is as good as having them spring loaded. That way, if the shutter power supply fails, the lasers fail as well.

Are you sure you have enough fuses?

bear in mind all those switch modes have internal fuses, so potential overkill there

Do you mean the power supplies? , if that is what you are talking about I would rather blow a fuse before I blew a power supply...

It might be good enough for you, but it's not good enough for the CDRH. They want a spring-loaded shutter - period.

I agree that in the days of ion lasers where the projector might be powered separately from the laser, such an arrangement made sense. Today, all the components in a solid state projector share a common power source, so the risk is minimal. Yet they still want a spring on the shutter, just in case.

A shutter will be installed in this setup, it will also be ran right in line off of the dmx controller board that is powerd by the galvos power supply...... I thought it needed its own power supply for the shutter, I was wrong

My Rig will be 100% CDRH compliant!

As I like money... do you lilke money too??

Welcom to costco, I love you.
