Um... I can't read it!!!! Ignorance on my part... but...80mW Max is a bit low considering 445nm diodes are out at 150mW.
Love, peace, and grease,
allthat... aka: aaron@pangolin
It is in German and English. The nichia (sp) are up to a watt of 445, but they are still $3000 for a sample.
But any way this is really exciting!!!
80mw of 450!! It is a tiny little thing too, it is only 3.8mm.
This is good for a number of reasons. First it means that the blues will start to come down in price. Second they will start to compete with nichia and the power levels will climb soon. Third this means that super tiny laser video projectors will soon be widely available. If there are a ton of these little projectors using this diode that means that the price will come down more!
Can't wait!!
Thanks for the heads UP!!

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
Just try to get a Nichia sample raw diode in the US, just try.
I used the resources of a major defense contractor to contact Nichia and got told to call Coherent or Laser Power, the two US distributors , and they are only interested in selling complete heads.
So Hello OSRAM Yeah!
Steve
The all important question: how much for that 80 mw diode?
Adam
Received this...
I am the marketing manager for our visible laser diodes products in North America. Limited quantities of samples are available now. The samples cost $1500/unit for 1-5 units. I have attached the datasheet for your convenience. Please send me your contact information so that I can ask our local sales rep in your area to assist you in ordering the parts. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Hello!
I think it will be a Nichia Emitter soldered on another case...
Becouse the data of the Nichia and the new Diode like the same. And up to now Nichia is the only one who sell 445nm Diodes... Much companys work to get also 445nm... but up to now they arenīt out for sell.
Greetings,
Phil
