Thanks Karl! I knew those poles would have a purpose.

Has anyone tried Microsoft Photosynth? I tried to make one of this but I don't think I took enough pictures.

If you have a hotmail account you can log in with that, otherwise you have to sign up. Sorry...

Not bad, I was expecting the windows to be bigger, glad to see they will be very easy to cover. I wish the ceilings were a bit higher, but for $50 bucks, who cares! I think it will work rather well for our FLEM's.

    Hey ATWI

    Hah! - this is exactly what I had-pictured in my mind... without the 'pole-cat', of-course.. (thanks, Karl... you're a 'hoot', m8!... )

OK, so I / DSLI will be there (in FL) from the 18th-19th, so we could-be there in Orlandoland ~20th, mid-day-ish... I am pretty-sure we have at least THAT-much visquine (the heavy black plastic) vs the bigger roll we had - but there's also less to cover, than I thought, too...

We'll have, in the truck - for whatever it's worth / not worth...

    - JBL EON-10s / Ultimate Stands
    - Bounce Mirrors / Fogger / Fans
    - 10' x 10' Skeeta Scrim / Frame / Rigging
    - 20' x 20' White Muslin Screen (this one is damaged / torn on one-side; so we can cut-down to 10' x 10', or whatever...)
    - Black Visquine (some pieces - not sure of exactly how-much, will advise)

..and of possible particular interest, to those that might-not-otherwise have a chance to 'check one out', a 4W Laser Quantum 'Elite' (532 only) and an RGB Systems' 2W WL (not the aforementioned 4W; Client-budget got cut slightly...) - AND a mini 'bench-projector' we use in the shop for programming / travel / em-backup, etc, with EMS 4000s, for perhaps, some 'visual-tests' vs Cambridge 6210s / 15s, DT50s, etc, 'just for kicks' / curiosities' sake..

So, perhaps PM-me your cel phone, etc, and we can get in-touch, cool?
    Talk to ya then, Aaron...

    Cool

Hey Aaron; that photosynth thing was pretty cool! It worked out well enough I think, even at only 37%. So, based on those pictures, it looks like the venue should work just fine for our needs. (I agree with DZ that it would be better if the ceiling was taller, but for $50, we really can't complain!)

Jon - I'll have some black sheets with me, so between the two of us I'm sure we'll be able to block the windows. (My Mom lives just down the street, so in a pinch we can always grab some towels from her place if we need to.) Have a look at the pics of the ceiling though, as I'm not sure that will work with your bounce mirror mounts. (Might have to use a stand after all...)

OK - looks like this is shaping up rather well. I'll start another thread for people to sign up later today.

Fantastic! Thank you Adam for making this available, and for your mom for taking the time to let Aaron in, and thanx Aaron for taking these pictures.

The windows do not pose a big problem anymore (much smaller than I had anticipated), and covering them shouldn't be a big hassle at all...

I do love how isolated the place is though, allowing for a great time well into the night.

    Hi Mo!

Yeah, the place is actually working out better than I originally expected. The poles in the room are much smaller than I thought they were (which is good!), and the isolation of the building is a huge plus. (We like loud music, after all!)

The low ceiling is about the only real drawback, but it's a minor point that we can certainly live with. I can see this becoming a regular gig for us...

    Agreed!

It is kinda sad that high-ceiling halls are not very common here in FL... but, oh well... everything else about this place just fits perfectly... we might also have to move the show to the side a bit (the poles are extra close to the walls) or maybe even to one of the side walls instead (not that that is a problem either ).

Thanx again for finding this spot.

    Anything I can help with?

    Regards;
