Default Intriguing 'new' mid-air projection 'screen'...

    Hey Kats...

While I know this is not 'new' (I'd actually seen something like this ~1.5 yrs ago, but can't find the link anymore...) it is at-least,
'new' in this particular config. etc...

http://www.illusionscreen.com/ (...Uh, small 'warning' - turn your speakers DOWN ...the video comes-in quite 'hot'...)

    ...and 'Tech Specs...

    http://www.illusionscreen.com/tech.html

Pretty 'cool' eh? (oh, sorry...) Really wonder how laser-light would 'behave' in this 'atmosphere'... Certainly not '3D' like the video, since much of the '3D-ness' comes from the '3D' graphics-themselves, adding to the 'depth' illusion...but probably would 'interact' quite interestingly...

Anyhoo, sure would be bitchin' to see 'Rhythm is a Dancer', et al, free-floating on top of this little ditty... Or even better, I created a nice raster 'Princess Leia' - you know, the one R2 'projects' ...when I get back to the NY office in a few weeks, I'll sip it off the Sho PC it is on, and post it fer ya's... It's niiice...

Meantime, thoughts on this little beastie? ...Or, better yet, anybody with a small RGB-box that lives 'close' to one of their 'offices', that might feel a 'road-trip' / quick 'test-n-post-pix' comin on? Discuss...

    peace..

Looks like the camera angle is all in their vids.
Once you see the projector blasting away it would remove a lot of the impact.

But where can I meet a blonde like that.
She's easily amusd by trying to touch the pretty lights.
Over and over and over ......

Get outside love and pop into the "Life Shop" to see if they have a sale on.

I prefer the illusion screen version.

The fog screen is great for size but you can see the medium way too much. With the illusion screen it really is almost invisible.

    How does it works ?
I see it says water consume.... bla bla..

Does it actually bail water and steam it up in the air ?

It more reminded me of an hazer with a tiny nozzle output blowing a tiny line of smoke up in the air.....

    Cool

Ultrasonic water fog generator and a laminar-flow air duct. Creates a sheet of air flowing up, and then they inject the water-fog from the ultrasonic fog generator into it. (Though I suppose you could use standard glycol-based fog too - except that the water fog disappears after a few feet, whereas the glycol fog would hang around and eventually fill the room.)

I've thought about trying to build a small one, but I'm not sure that the effect is all that great in real life. As Steve mentioned, angles are crucial. (Plus you'd need about 10 of those ultrasonic water fog generators to make it work... Last time I checked, they were running around 15 a pop on E-bay.)
