    Default Help! 161B-460 and 261B-01

I am pretty sure there is no igniter pulse from the PS,,

could someone walk me thru a few test procedures?

Tube is good checked with Tesla,Filament glows nice,
    interlock light on
    standby light on
    lasing off
    regulation on

The emission indicator is on with key off?
It flickers alot when key is on,,it is a neon indicator lamp

The key switch activates one relay, the other relay next to the control does not activate?

    Pins 36-37 jumpered

Could be a dodgy switch or relay ? Could also be a damaged starter card

If the tube glows with the tesla then it has got gas. ( )

I'd start be cecking the starter card and relays that you mentioned.

You could test for voltage at the starter card. As far as I know, those starter cards use the same DC voltage that the tube gets, so if this unit is the same way you should see around 100VDC going to the card after about 30 seconds or however long the emission delay is.

For me - it happened twice that the dead part in a non-starting aircooled laser head was this big yellow cap ca. 2-3uF/450V on the starter board.
Apparently loss of capacitance, hence no 'tick'.
