    Can anyone enlighten me about this old controller?

    Par port, dos version, hand etched in Rick's trailer in Montanna , before he moved. circa early 1990s.

    Yep - one of the forerunners to the Alphalite...

    I think DZ had one of these a long time ago. For sure it looks nothing like the current version of the Alphalite. Might want to get in touch with Rick Gebhardt and see what he has to say about it. (His website is currently off-line, but I think his e-mail address still works: rickgebhardt *at* msn *dot* com) I'm sure he'll get a kick out of seeing one of his early creations again.

    Wow! Very cool! The board I bought from him, which was either in 94 or 95, looked better than that. This must have been a much ealier design, I recognize the chips on it, same design as the one I had, except it was a much nicer, silk screened board. I ordered it as a kit, I remember the day it arrived, spent all night putting it together so I could run my little hene projector with G-124's! I may still have the PCLite software around somewhere. Thanks for sharing Lasernerd, that's neat, where did you dig that up from?!

    A guy who did laser shows in Chicago way back,moved up here to Oregon.
    I just love this old school stuff,,heck my first(computer) shows were with an Amiga,,

    By chance could I get a copy?

    I'll look around for it, not sure where it might be. There wasn't much you could do with it, except display some frames and a few animations. Frame creation was very difficult with it. I think it had abstracts, but was very basic. If I come across it, I'll send it over.

    Well I found it, an it doesn't like XP much at all! It would probably work much better on a 95/98 machine. Some how the folder found its way to the plftp site.
