LOL - sound's too good to be true.
(The gold package on their site which matches the 'unlimited' bit is £50 p/y!)
Anyway, it has all the bells and whistles you should need (databases, PHP and whatnot) so should be alright...

Don't know if im too late to say this but when I was endlessly switching hosts before I found my current one I was able to download a full backup of the site and a mysql backup (which joomla uses) and I just contacted the host and they normally allow you to upload the files to your account and they will restore the site for you.

If not you will have to do it yourself, the structure needs to be identical to your old host as in directories and such. Then just upload the mysql database backup and find the config file which should just need a tiny bit of editing and it should work fine.

The editing should just be something simple like database names like dbname_host to dbname_newhost.

    Another Edit:
Reading above, be careful with 'unlimited' hosting. If you ever find a hard drive with unlimited space or a server that has unlimited space for new hard drives be sure to let me know. Same goes for any other 'unlimited' features, the limit might be high but its never unlimited.

Hopefully your new host has a decent control panel.

Hopefully your tarball has a copy of the database included.

I may can be of some help either with restoring or hosting (if need be). lemme know if i can be of assistance.

I have set up and used Joomla, but only for testing purposes for a particular type of website and in the end decided on another CMS for that website only because of the add-ons that was avaialble at the time. Joomla has come a long way since them.

If your new host does not have everything you need. I host with 1 and 1 and have a professional account with them and have been with them for 5 years now and no problems what so ever.
I have spare space and MySQL databases that you could use if needed. You would have you own FTP account to your site, but would have to investigate if I can give you your own access to your database or I would have to do any behind the scenes tweaking.

Let me know if you need it,
