    Smile Really Cheap Scrim

    Hi all

I took an enforced visit to Ikea the other day (definately not my own choice ). Anyway, whilst I was following the yellow brick road around the store I happened to see some net curtaining and took a detour to have a closer look. My wife thought i'd taken a sudden interest in houshold furnishings... How wrong she was

    Anyway, I bought a pair of plain net curtains 3 meters x 2.8 meters for £2.78 !!!!!!!!!!

These make a brilliant scrim, the holes in the netting are just right for allowing beams through without losing too much power, at the same time the residual image left on the scrim is spot on.

The name of the curtains is 'Lill'... So, this Valentines weekend ask your Wife/Girlfriend/Partner if they would like you to take them to Ikea to do some shopping. It'll gain you some major 'being in the good books' points and you get the added bonus of picking up some cheap scrim at the same time

These are the ones we talked about in the thread, oh, a year ago.

I find they work better for projector visuals than for laser, because the laser lights them up a bit too much and they become very visible.

Thank you for the information. Ikea is only a couple miles from my house. Since I don't have anything yet I'm going try it out.
