Does it have to be a 168?

I have a 164 and a 165 that both need tubes, everything else is in great shape. I haven't tested the magnets yet but they look fine. Any reason in particular that it has to be a 168?

I have a 168 now too but it's staying here

Oh yeah and I'm in WA

I have no idea what they're worth....

I should also add that the tubes are 100% scrap. They cant be regassed, they're totally shattered. Just in case that's what you were planning to do.

Yeah like I said the magnets look fine, but I haven't tested them. Pretty soon I'll take out the plasma tubes and give the magnets a really good once over to make sure they look alright. They were working when they were shipped to me, but water froze in transit and broke the tubes. I dont see any obvious bulges or leaks on the magnets, I'll run some water through them to make sure.

if you see no leaks and no bulges they can be checked electricallly by hooking a bridge rectifier on the ac part plugged into ac and the wires of the magnet connected to the other part of the bridge and use a compass as i have suggested in other threads

99.873.254 times if there are no leaks and no buldges the magnets are fine
