    Default 200mW 409nm maXYZ module

    Hey Everyone,

I had the original 405nm maXYZ module which died a couple months ago. I sent it to a friend from another forum and he replaced the diode and collimator with a diode from a 6x burner. Running at 191mA it produces 203mW out the aperture, Far more efficient then a typical diode and the longer wavelength, measured with my spectrometer, means the output is way brighter.

It is running great! The module is basically new because I always kept it in a antistatic baggie.

I would like to ask $350 for this shipped. I will include the heatsink and a small power supply for it.

It appears from the label that you are using the non-modulatable FlexDrive.. In a form factor like this can I suggest that you use a modulatable driver like the FlexMod, stanwax driver, etc?
the 409nm will mean this will appear much brighter than the typical 405nm which is a good thing.

Yes, it is non modulatable (if that is even a word ). I cannot fit a Flexmod into this laser as it is nearly an inch across. Part of the goal of this was to make it 100% self contained. All you do is apply power and it works!
