    Default DMX LED Strobe?

Does anyone know where I can get a reasonable priced DMX LED strobe light? I have found a few but they are well over the price I am looking for which is around £50 tops.

For this price you'll be looking on a LED/Strob which looks good but after a while you will find that leds start to flicker. It's an indication of a cold soldering or even worst.. oxidized led contacts. That the nature of made in China products. They all are assembled by children and electronics are made on very worn out and not properly temperature controlled machines. I phisically've been in China and seen those things with my own eyes. Thats how mass produced things are made.
I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!

Ahh ok, what would I be expecting for a good quality one then?

I am trying to move away from bulbs completly, LEDs are brighter, use less power and don't get anywhere near as hot.

I just purchased a 1.5kW strobe of ebay for about £70 with DMX, thats not a great deal more than the LED ones, but perhaps not what your looking for?

Serious power overkill for where I will use it... What kind is it though? I keep coming across barrel style ones that are RGB with strobe functions.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=260366891440 is the item link. You can vary the power from 20-100% and that seems to work really well. In fact for the £ I was really pleased.

I have several Chauvet Colorsplash Jr. RGB LED PAR cans that have a VERY effective DMX-selectable strobe settings. Probably not as bright as the multi-watt units, but still pretty intense, with the added benefit of being able to use RGB color mixing.

I've seen them sell for $65 to $75 on E-bay...
