Default 405 nm 150 mw laser diode

    Dear all,

I`m new on this site. I saw a lot of good reviews about galvo`s and more.
After reading the reviews, I`ve bought the 20kpps Pro set from lasershowparts.com.

While I was looking on ebay for the set, I saw a advertisement of the 150 mw 405 nm diode laser.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:RTQ:US:1123

I was wondering if it is possible to make something so I can blank the laser to use this in my projector. Does enybody know how to make/do this?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Tim / Hoi Tim

Yes sure thats no problem at all.
However the diodes sold on ebay are just violet phr diodes.
And the wont do 150 mw atleast not for very long.
Most i can expect from those with a decent lifetime is about 90-120 mw max.

Its fairly easy to make a blanking driver for this module
Send me a email if u need schematics.

    Kind regards.

If you look here, there are ready made drivers with built-in analog modulation

    Hoi Tim,

    Welcome to the forum.
    Just send you a pm.
To be safe the diodes we use push to 100 a 110mw they can do more but not long

There are other diodes but they cost 7 to 8 times more and they can push even 200mw

    Groetjes,
    Bob

Your best bet is going to be the flexmod for driving bluray diodes..
