    Default Different 6 channel usb soundcard??

    Hi,

    The other day I received the 6 channel usb soundcards I'd bought on ebay for building the famous USB DAC and, when I took it apart, I found the board layout is different from the one shown in the forum threds here at the PL. Here are some pics:

    Has anyone seen or used one of these before?

    yeah, its the same chipset and circuit. No problem making that work, its just a little different board layout.

    Looks like they managed to decrease the board cost a little, removed the 3.3v regualtor, and got the DC blocking caps installed in the correct orientation this time.

    Hi,
    Can someone please specify which signal I'll be getting on each of the soundcard pins Steve pointed out?
    Will it be?

    c1 -> Green
    c2 -> Red
    c11 -> Intensity
    c12 -> Blue
    c9 -> Y
    c10 -> X
    c17 -> Ground

    Thanks.

    measure the voltage on 1 of this channels at rest but plugged in .... is it 1.2v or 3.3 v?
    got a message from a friend that this may be using the new chip so it will make a BIG difference.

    you may need 50k pots

    I tried measuring the voltage at each of the soundcard channel's capacitors and, when I first pluged it in it measured at 2.85v and then started to rise. After about 5 minutes it's at 2.97v and seems to be still rising.
    All the pots on my correction amp are 50k.
