    Default New RYG works!

After way too long, I got all of the pieces put together and lit up. Just in time for Grampa's birthday. The too long part is because of the rebuilding of my homestead as I talked about in an earlier thread. And the building of custom fixtures to mount components. I live in the boondocks and have to make a lot of things happen without the luxury of a fully stocked hardware store or laser parts store (as if there are those on every corner where you live).
I have included some photos for you to inspect and critic. Of course, I am not done. You will notice a spot left open for a "someday" blue. There are also too many holes and no safety features (yet).
It was interesting to see the new reds from LaserWave. I wish my red did not diverge so much. By the time it gets to the galvos, it covers the whole mirror. When it gets to a light surface indoors, it just barely makes yellow. Outdoors I can't even see it if it is scanned. 250mW.
By the way, my new avitar was created using Traceit and a photo of a toy then shown through my projector. I am jazzed

    Hey KnightLite,
Cool project you have going there- you have done a good job tucking everything into your case space. What did you use for your case? It has a great slim height and overall size. Thanks for sharing the pics- maybe next some youtube links?

    Default Feedback Welcome

    Thanks for the comments.
The box is just a 3U 19" surplus telco accessory. Every time I make small modification I have to completely rearrange the furniture. It is going to be bolted down tight so I can pack it up to PaCoLEM.
Any ideas about divergence? Even a broomstick has a better beam.
